have a 95 SL320 had to have 3 hydraulic cylinders changed because of leaking now the soft top won't open. When the top switch is pushed forward you can hear that it works & light comes on in switch - but when switch is pulled back nothing happens no light no noise

Whoever did the work probably did not hook everything back up correctly.

Soft top won't move after cylinder swap?

Bhilliard,

welcome to the forum, and thanks for filling out your profile already!

We need some more detail in order to help you identify the problem and hopefully fix it:
1) Which cylinders have been swapped? (That will help in retracing what might have been disconnected.)
2) When you open the doors, do the windows come down a fraction of an inch? (If they don't do that on model years '95 and up, you will have to perform the window synchronization as described in the owner's manual.)
3) If the windows are synchronized, please roll down the windows and unlock the front locks manually (with the soft top tool or with a 6-mm Allen wrench, as described in your owner's manual). Will the top retract with the switch after you have done this?

Looking forward to your response...

Klaus
