04 CLK 500. Front latch cylinder was leaking . Got it repaired. When I tried to operate the top it wouldnt budge. Found more leaks . I decided to put top up until I had time to remove the cylinders . I talked with Klaus and he said I could disconnect the rear cylinders from the tonneau cover to relieve the pressure and to aid in the opening if the tonneau cover. Got it open and raised top. Rear of top wont latch into place on tonneau cover. Wont go any further than about 2" from fastening. Cannot open cover . Tried for 2 hours.
I disconnected the passenger cylinder but disconnected the hydraulic line on the drivers side cylinder . nothing works. Seems that the cover is in a bind. Thus not being able to open it. Nothing moves . Need some help in how to get started to begin removing the cover. At least with the top open I can drive the car on sunny days. Any help appreciated.
In a state of IDK what to do next.
Thanks

Don't disconnect the hydraulic lines - disconnect both cylinders from the lid. Actually, you can manually operate these cylinder, but it takes quite a bit of effort - high pressure at a constant rate. I assume you have the video for manual close...

Well I disconnected the line before I read your post. Dont know if it helped or not , but I got the cover open working alone. I left it disconnected until I had it all back together and was ready for a test then I connected it and hit the switch. Have an adjustment to make to the last step in which the window seats onto the tonneau cover but will or hope to figure that out tomorrow.
