Finally got the cart for the hardtop built, so it's time for the soft top.

Now I'm having trouble with the back latch mechanism. It seems that the hook doesn't want to mate with the notch in the pin on the back bow of the soft top. There doesn't seem to be any more adjustment to move the whole mechanism toward the passenger side, so I'm wondering if I am going to have to get creative.

One thing that bothers me is that the small, rear lever of the two for the top seems to be completely 'loose', as in able to spin around completely. From the look at the mechanism, the large lever controls the latch for the well cover and the up and down motion of the hook. Does the small lever control the side to side motion of the hook? I can't find anything in the service CD that deals with this particular bit.

Well, I got into it yesterday, and sure enough, the two little pins on the small lever are sheared off. Since I don't have the tools to do the rebuild bit from the ShopForum thread, I'll have to look at the junkyard, or (horrors) the DEALER (cue scary music)

I did however, get the EPC to work on my Windows partition, so I have the part numbers now. That should help me in the future with other things.
