Just before I bought my 1991 300 SL-24 the owner had fitted a new quality hood himself but at the rear it does not sit flat on the bodywork so I assume it will leak in heavy rain, I left the hardtop on(which also leaks at the "A" pillar but I am trying to sort that at present) as I did not want to risk leaving it on in the Scottish autumn weather we are having. I wondered if it is possible to adjust or remove it and have it properly fitted or once it's on is that it set and unable to be removed easily again? Thanks for any advice.

Had something similar when I bought my car last year- not sure who installed it for previous owner-

didn't leak but looked wrong.

took to my upholstrey shop and he charged $50 to fix :" best he could do"-

said the installer had trimmed too much off the canvas at the back-

looks better now but not perfect-- still no leaks.
