I recently about month ago purchased 2003 CLK-320 Convertible.
Once of the issue I had that soft top cover (Tonneau Cover) flaps were bend and were putting pressure/rub on rear window when top was down.
I did not see the flaps bend issue, I thought I need to adjust them.
I contacted Klaus at Top Hydraulics Inc. Klaus was very help, by just looking at the photo of flaps, he figured out that I don't need any adjustment to flap mechanism, they are simply just bend. Thank you so much Klaus for your support and solution.
Today I got the chance to work on it.
I open the soft top cover (Tonneau Cover) while open the the top down
Then worked on bend flaps.
I removed the 2 Philips screws that hold plastic cover to flaps mechanism. After that I apply slight pressure to metal part of the flap with my hands and it was bend back to original position. This removed the bend. After that I installed plastic part of flap back and aligned the 2 Philips screws to make sure it will sit flat when top open and it will not rub against the rear window.
After that I ran the top down again, this time I can see flap are sitting nicely flat and rear windows did not touch or rub any more against the plastic cover of the flaps.
Problem solved, big thanks to Klaus.
