Where are you advertising it and how much are you asking?

Lots of people are looking for cars with good gas mileage these days and the SLK32 does not fall into that catagorey.

Plus 2 days is not all that long given the limited market for a small, 2 seat convertible.

..well...

its on cars.com and in the local paper. It seems to get good gas mileage...I have only put a tank and a 1/2 in it since October! of course I only drove it 600 miles or so in the last 8 months. i'm asking 24,900 ONO it really is a very nice car and deserves a better owner than me although when I got it I changed ALL fluids, put new tires on it and replaced the ball joints....the only problem I have had is a speed sensor failed, no big deal, although I think the coolant pump for the supercharger is trying to die. I already have a replacement for it but havent had the time to put it in...:crybaby2:

Really hate to see the cars listed for so little.

I have had good luck with a combination of posting on the boars and listing in Autotrader. Last car I sold the guy drove down from Chicago to pick it up.

Good luck selling it.

Might want to hold off selling, there are just too many cars on the market these days to get good price.
This may be true. I've noticed that craigslist seems to be glutted with cars these days. And the luxury car market is pretty tight right now...

Now, on the other hand, if you had an old Geo Metro, you could sell that thing for $7K on ebay. No kidding!!!

The rush may have begun.

The 1996 2-door 3-cylinder Metro Solomon now owns opened on eBay May 7 with a bid of $200. A week later, Solomon won the car auction with a bid of $7,300. In 1995, a new Metro hatchback sold for about $9,000, according to Auto Mall USA.

In May alone, 43 Metros of various years and models were sold on eBay, ranging in price from $221.50 to Solomon's bid of $7,300. The cars have been hot items, drawing upwards of 49 bids on certain vehicles, with many of the auctions coming down to last-second bidding wars. On Tuesday morning, 34 Metros were still up for grabs.

I did not know there were still 43 geo metros running in the country let alone for sale.

What a bunch of morons. $7300 will buy you a hell of a lot of gas. At today's national avg. of $3.90 per gallon it will purchase you ~1872 gallons. If you figure an avg. of 22mpg that is 41,179 miles. Count in the time value of money and it is not a cost effective way to "save" money.

If you recall some people went through the same kind of buying and selling panic the last time the fuel prices went up. There are a lot of stupid people out there. :(

people panic and just stop thinking. I'm not trying to sell it because of the cost of gas, but rather because I simply do not drive it enough to justify owning such a nice car. My daily driver is a 98 jeep GC 5.9 and it gets 9 to 14 mpg (mostly 9 though!) I only drive it about 8000 mile a year so I dont really care how much gas is as it its a totally utilitarian vehicle and does everything I need it to do. Most yuppies spend over $4.00 a gallon on designer drinking water!

...a lot more disposable income than you do. my jeep is one hell of a car. I put recaro type c's in it and its comfortable too. at 3.90 per gallon 7k will buy you roughly 42,000 gallons of gas...so why sell it when I only drive 7,000 miles a year and it is in perfect working order.

and will still do 0-60 in under 6 seconds. runs like a top and actually doesn't have a single fluid leak (a fact that amazes most ZJ owners!)
