Hi i'm new on this forum.
Compliments on how complete eveything is.

We have snowseason in the Netherlands we wanna go up to the alpes. MOuntains in the middle of europe go skiing.
I wonder do i need snowtires for the icy roads?
i have 18" amg styled 285/55/r18 tires.

Is the 4x4 more then enough?

Bye you all i hope you'll help me with your experience.

thanks

It is better to be equipped properly for the occassion and have that peace of mind

knowing you have snow tires on and can tackle unpredictable weather in the Alps. Afterall, you wouldn't put your favorite loafers on and go skiing would you? [;)]

Yes, you will need to get snow tires. Even if you have 8 wheel drive, if your tires can't hold on in the snow, you will not be getting anywhere. Your best bet is a set of quality winter tires and a set of tire chains just in case.

Or, if you want to turn your ML into a total badass, you can do like the Icelanders and cut out the wheel wells to fit 44" tires. [8D]
