I just had my 560 timing checked and it was adjusted to 12 degrees. It was at about 8 to begin with. Idles much better now but now notice a puff of grey smoke when car starts up, as far as I can tell there is no smoke except on starting. Would this timing adjustment cause this or is there some other problem?

Thanks in advance,

Robert Ray

You could have a leaky valve in the engine. A very light leak will show a little bit of smoke from oil buring... more visible as the car sits there and you start it up.
