Lots of penetrating oil, a good flare nut wrench and lot of cussing. Heat if necessary, but be very careful.

Looks like this one has had better days. Not liking that kink in the line.

That kink doesnt matter that much, its rubber, and the replacement rubber line comes with the new strut. Im more afraid af the left one, made out of metal. It wants to bend way too much, when i try to loosen the connection.

Use two quality flare nut wrenches and position the two handles close to each other. Squeeze the two handles together (like using pliers). This way there is less torsion on the tubing. Wear gloves as you don't want to pinch your hands/fingers.

This is flare connector, where 2 pieces are sealed by tapered metal. That comes with pretty high torque, what combined with rust makes for hard removal.
As 260 mention, good flare wrenches can be crucial and the smaller hex on metal side is more prone to stripping.
If you can disconnect the other end easier, I would slide box wrench over it. Looks like you are for hose replacing anyway, so no problem to cut it and use box as well.

Im honestly hopeless. The hex on the metal side is starting to get rounded. The rubber hose has been cut off, and I haven't been able to loosen it, even with a breaker bar. And to top it all off, the metal tube just wants to bend.
