SLR Wings on SLK R171

I heard some places in Asia like HK or China, there's a factory option to get SLR doors on the SLK. Does anybody know anything about that? Can that be done in Canada/US? $$? Aftermarket maybe?

If I am not mistaken, some of these doors first open out like a normal door then they swing up. I would want to see them in action before I made a commitment.

Yea that's exactly how they open. Very shaky when open. It requires opening up the inner fender to mount the hinge system. They are very poplular among the JDM show scene. Doesn't belong on any luxury vehicle IMO.
