Soes anyone know if MB will build the gullwing SLR in the near future? <br> <br> And, this isn't really related: does anyone know why all the articles about the new Maybach keep saying it's the 'first' one. As far as I have read in the UK press, the SLR is to be built here in the UK in Woking, Surrey at the McLaren factory. (McLaren Formula One Team use Mercedes Engines and are part owned by MB).<br> <br> As for Maybach, they were an indipendent producer of fine cars in the 1920's and 30's. Bought by MB around the second world war (not sure if before,during or after). Maybach production was not restarted after 1945.
