But have never spotted where it gets out or where it goes.

I spotted this today, looks like the water pump seal is weeping, that is the thermostat housing at the bottom right of the pic, alternator bracket on the left.

I also think that my rear crank shaft seal needs to be replaced as there is a drip of oil per day on the garage floor.

Jobs I will need to get to sometime, but not urgent.

Hey Jim, just spotted this thread. After I refurbished my radiator and replaced it last week, I noticed it was ever so slightly weeping in a few spots on the front. Not a leak, but you could see tiny droplets forming after the engine ran the first time. At any rate I drove the old girl home last week and after arriving it appears those spots have sealed, which I assume is MB coolant doing its magic once it's warmed up and cycled through the system for 20-25 mins. I drove her twice since, just for a short spin, and the issue hasn't resurfaced so I hope I'll get away. I'm not sure if you're using MB coolant, if not it might be worth a shot.

Well maybe it's just a "regular" feature of MB coolant rather than "special" - key takeaway is that those few pinholes in the radiator are no longer weeping.
