Can anyone confirm whether or not the 18" factory rims off of an SLK55 will fit on my SLK320? and what tire size would you recommend?

go to Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels
I think you'll find the ride harsh given wall thickness will be down.
Stock wall thickness is around 112mm
If you go up an inch to 17's that of course drops down to 100mm
If you go 18's = 88mm

So for a 245 you need a 88/245=35 series to maintain wheel diameter. Of course you can probably increase this slightly and try a 18/245/40, others can comment on if this fits without rubbing.
Anything wider than a 245 on the 7.5" rims is getting wide.

Stock offset is ET37 front ET30 rear.
And rims you can do 7.5 front and 8.5 rears.
The rest is caclulatable.

Here is my 230 on genuine SLK55AMG 18 inch rims. Tyres are 225/40 on the front and 255/35 on the rears. The ride is slightly harder than the original 16 inchers, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. The increase in diameter did not detract from performance as far as I can detect, and the speedometer reading is now exactly correct according to my GPS. Very happy with the look and feel of these wheels.

very swish.
Wow - maybe its because my 230 has been lowered at the rear 30mm - but with 17's the ride is quite go-carty and a little hmmm...how can you say - firm (without being unkind). Hence why I thought 18's were a stretch.
On the SLk32 - its a different story though. They come with 17"s stock and the ride is not as go carty - hence I'm considering 18s.

Can you tell us the rim width and offset - for completness pls...

The fronts are 7.5 inch wide, offset ET37, and the rears are 8.5 inch at ET30. I took a gamble when these came available at a very tempting price, and more by luck they are a perfect fit, no rubbing anywhere, and they are perfect for the look I was after.

Next on the wishlist is a pulley kit and some big brakes!
