I have a 1998 SLK230 the dome light is on when roof is open all the way or closed all the way when roof is mid-way the light is off. where is the micro switch for the trunk or is it off the hyd. for the roof? any other suggestions are welcome.

When it's closed, can you lock the doors from inside the car using the central locking switch in the console?

No Battery in the car for 1 month replaced battery everything works great with no issues,
