Just got back from a long drive which finished in unforcast snow and lots of ice (first time in my SLK). At first I thought the car wasn't very good in the snow, I was really struggling (I didn't realise the road was actually just a sheet of ice). The car behind me was right on my tail, but once we hit lots of snow/ice I left it far behind :). Traction control was going crazy and BAS/ABS were taking over when braking (actually felt really weird). On walking back I saw another car that couldn't even take the downhill/sharp bend that I did - the SLK didn't even move off line - very impressed

Put the winter tires on yesterday. It can be a lot of fun when it is slippery. Very controllable.
