I wanted to know whats best to get on an Slk 350.

The choices are regular, sport suspensions or amg-package, having in mind that the sport suspensions are $200 and the Amg-package is $4000.

Do sport suspensions make any difference in the car's ride and comfort? What about the handling, how much better is it?

PS On a well equipped slk 350 if you add the amg-package you get very close to the price of an slk 55..

This topic has been discussed at great length.
You will just have to make a choice that works for you.

1) Sport Suspension is firmer, slightly less comfortable but handles better.
2) You will also be lower so expect that.
3) AMG Sport package gets you sport suspension, wheels and body kit for $4000 US.
You have to make a judgement call on whether that monetary outlay is worth it for you. Many here have faced the same decision and said no, others, like myself said yes.

Yep. Mostly, US says No to sports suspension, ROW where there are corners says Yes []

In Chicago, our roads aren't crooked, our politicians are so we have lots of rough pavement to deal with. I'm glad I didn't order the sport suspension.

Potholes here. It never rains in Southern California...but it pours...man...it pours. Everyone remember that song? When it does rain we get lots of potholes. And its raining now....[]

We have covered this issue before and you will get mixed opinions. I have read a couple of SLK reviews that tested the car with standard suspendion and run flat tires and they thought the ride was rougher so I would think it would be even more so with Sports Suspension.
