Hi I have recently had a 'No Start No Crank' problem with my SLK 230 R170. This happens when the key is turned on and all the dashboard lights show but the engine will not turn over. I did some research on this problem and it appears that this is a common fault with this model and there is a simple fix which can be found on You Tube
Hope this is of interest.
Dglad
mine did this a while back and one day it started and worked like nothing had happened two weeks ago it did it again i replaced k40 with a new one and i still have the same no crank no start ,
Quite a lot of my electrical problems over the past 5 years or so have been solved by simply cleaning the connectors, including an ABS module fault. My car is over 22 years old now.
so the crank sensor will also make the car not crank at all or a clicking sound???
