I have a 2000 E320. In searching through posts on changing spark plugs, I noticed that I will need to have one of these slim profile plug sockets. Can someone let me know where I can get it? Is it available in local auto parts store or online only?

Thanks

Hi, Warren and welcome to the forum. Another bay area guy, huh? Great!

There is nothing special about my spark plug socket (in fact I think I got it in a kit that included the flex-head ratchet and a couple of extensions) and did not notice any problems that caused. The bigger key is to have one with a good rubber/neoprene insert that will protect the plug a bit and will firmly hold it as you're removing and reinstalling.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

ngk7090 plugs do not fall for the multi tip marketing hype
a single side electrode plug like the 7090 is all you need to keep the engine happy.:)
