Hi, I have a SL KICHERER R230 carbon bonnet and was wondering how much these are going for. Looking forward to seeing relies. Many thanks

Wow that is Beautiful I want it. Will it fit a 2003 SL55 AMG? You can ship it to Seattle area?!

Hi, thanks man! The only details I have for this part is ‘KICHERER R230/011’ if that helps. You could try use this information to see if it fits your SL5 AMG. I’m from the UK so if you’re interested, we can sort something out for the right price.

Hm aren't you worried you'll be driving an oversized SLK with that snout, Tony...
Well, Fred... when I think of the cost to buy, then ship to the US, then have it put on the car, then I think of all the money I've spent on the car already, the idea kind of goes out the window. I like the hood I have now. My SL550 had some damage to the hood that had been repaired but still wasn't perfect. Someone had shut the hood with maybe a battery charger sitting on the engine? I dunno. My SL55 AMG hood is perfect. This carbon fiber looks very nice, but I guess you're right, the nose and grill is different.

That's what I don't get with that hood.
The arches for the headlights look right, but the "beak" that comes down where the grill would be doesn't seem right.
I guess if you install that hood you eliminate having a separate grill??
It seems if you install that hood it will be awkward to get to the secondary hood latch.
I suppose you could kind of snake your hand up to reach it but that would mean there was no screen in their "grill" to stop kicked up stones and debris from hitting the radiator.
Unless they devised some sort of secondary hood latch of their own.
Just my opinion, but I wonder why someone would consider this? It mimics the slk much more than an sls.

I love the R230 the way it looks now. The nose on that hood is a little odd. The finish is very nice looking though. I'll stick with what I've got, as it is I'm pretty heavily invested already!!! LoL

Both this and the SLK were supposed to mimic an SLR McLaren.

So it looks like whoever uses this hood (bonnet) is also gonna need the matching front bumper
That I wondered from the start. But perhaps it just drops over the SL bumper.
