Has anyone experienced this failure in their headlights?
I've heard of the biodegradable insulation prior to 1997 but this shouldn't be the case. The MB service mechanic agrees it must be due to heat. I'm thinking the bulbs are a defective brand drawing way too many amps.
Your thoughts are welcome.
I will be ordering complete housings tomorrow after more research for prices.

All of this wiring is crap, it’s a German thing, bad in my 996 Porsche, 2006 cls55 and I’m sure more. It’s all going to fall apart, maybe it’s the xenon headlight that are speeding things up.

Thanks. Do you or anyones else know the difference between OEM MB lights and the Magneti Marelli brand? The Marelli company seems to be of legit quality based on the impressive website.
