My side view mirrors fold very very slowly for some reason. It seems to be that the motor inside them is worn out/old.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi ///S320
your mirror mechanism needs some low temperature grease. Remove the mirror cover and grease the track and cog. Open and close the mirrors a few times and it should be as fast as it used to be. I did this to mine after it slowed to a snails pace and all returned to normal

Thanks Gill. Does the cover open with a screw driver? and which side to pop out first?

I'll post detail on removing the mirror cover once i have have confirmed my steps.

If you dont want to remove the cover, you can grease the tracks with the mirror in the closed position. Opening and closing it a few times while applying further grease at each interval will transfer the grease to the cog.
