Hi all,
I'm having problems with one of my headlight wipers (won't park, maybe needs motor or adjustment according to shop). My MB shop (non-dealer) says they are trouble anyway, so I wondered if I should take them off my 1993 SL500 entirely?
I was looking at a photo of a 2000 SL500 recently, and liked the uncluttered look of the front without the wipers.
If I decide to do this, what is left after the blades come off? Shafts, water hose? And how would I cover them?
I'm asking because my SL is in the paint shop, and I'm doing this by 'remote control.'

~1993 SL500, glistening black/grey on black leather, now in the shop for facelift painting lower body.
~1991 Daimler, shiny grey on grey leather, best in country!
~1991 Miata MX5, sparkling BRG on tan leather, wife's - (and my polishing)
~1992 Honda US s/wagon, black/grey
ex 350SL, 230E, 280E (and a lot of other makes not nearly as nice)
