No it did not include. Pity. The car dealer says he will take the car back for a full refund. The deal did include a spare engine which I enquired why etc but was met with a shrug.
Does anyone have any idea of the cost of a new set of pistons + associated gaskets/parts to do a refurb?
Having had a look at the plugs and seen how pale and deposited they are, it looks like the car is running on a weak mixture which may have burnt the side of a position or two.
I'm surprised that the mixture could be sub-optimal with the injection - is this a feature sometimes?

If he will take it back for a full refund , take the refund and don’t bother any further

If you want to keep it, it's worth a try to use an oil flushing compound that advertises that it will free stuck rings.

Once you get into the engine enough to replace piston rings you're just inches from a full rebuild. We used to say "in for a penny, in for a pound..."

Don't try any of this nonsense. Like tusabes say, get the refund and don't look back.
