Exactly, they have far more room to improve then the 117, I know that first hand from seeing the various incarnations of his previous engine (117) he had only just got it right, as in no more blowing stuff up and decided to quit that path while he was ahead. This way he can see where the intake and exhaust mods + others, gets him before adding cams, displacement, worked heads etc, etc. He is wanting to eventually enter into the "Super GT" series we have here that has cars running 800hp+.The m119 can push out big power with no mods to the internals but not without mods to the heads/intake manifold and valves.....that's where an engine makes it's power, plus the exhaust of course.
One can achieve 700bhp from an m119 but you'd be replacing much of the internals every 1000 miles !
So the balance has to be achieved between power and longevity/reliability.....hence i am keeping the 6.2 m119 down to 525bhp.
