Solved - Setting Time - W215 - Daylight/Standard Time

Hi all,

I did a search and found nothing to help. How do I set the time in my 2002 W215?

Thank you!

Boxx :)

If your system is like mine (06) on the command center (left side buttons) choose "SERV" then using the small buttons on the sides of the screen choose "system" then choose "time" and using the arrow buttons on the lower right control knob, make your adjustments .

I think to finish, after setting the correct time choose "OK" then choose "back" or, using the left side buttons, go back to where you want the screen to stay.

2003 and up W215's have one type of head unit and 2002 and older have a different type. Anyhow, I forgot I had the command manual, and that's where the time gets adjusted. :)

Here's another update - The command doesn't want to set, but has a setting for update automatically for Standard Time. However, that's not the clock I want to set. I want to set the one in the instrument cluster. :/ Seems the two are unconnected.

I'll see what I can see in the manual.

I have ran into this myself. I read somewhere that the clock on the dash is not adjustable.

I think it is set via GPS... again, just what I read on the net....lol.

If you find the solution, please share!

I would like to change mine too.

I pitched the POS 'Command' long ago.

Oddly, you would NEVER believe how good those factory speakers can sound with some good amplifiers running them. Simply amazing difference is sound quality!

Even the factory POS sub does very well with its own amp.

My 05 manual has instructions in the comand manual in the system settings section for the clock. The odd thing I found is it changes the minutes in 30 minute steps as long as it sees a gps signal. To make one minute changes I had to get the car under a roof good enough to cut off the gps signal.

There's a setting in there to unlink the time from the GPS, but I can't find it. However, it still doesn't want to change the clock in the instrument cluster :confused:

HA! Solved!

You have to do with the steering wheel buttons...Go to Settings => Instrument Cluster => Time and change the hours there.
