Maybe I am just stupid. But I have gone through the manuals. And pushed the settings menu buttons. I get as far as selecting 12 hr or 24 hr. But cannot get to the point where I can actually set the time.

I have disconnected the trunk battery, hoping the clock might just auto reset. Nope.

I am thinking I need to get out the black vinyl tape. And cover the darned clock. Until daylight savings time returns.

There must be a secret. Is it listed in any of the manuals? I cannot find it. Anyone know?

You should be able to change it via the command system if I remember correctly. If you can't find it there, check in the dash menu using your steering wheel buttons. The only thing that can change the command is if it is set through star as command not present. If that is the case as in when you put an aftermarket command in, there is a way to make it show in the dash.

You must PUSH and HOLD the button till you hear the BEEP, than proceed to the next step.
Make sure the time is set on automatic. Again PUSH and HOLD the button and wait for the BEEP.
Than country is next. Print USA than PUSH and HOLD the button and wait for the BEEP.
Than region: Eastern, Central or Pacific.. choose you region than PUSH and HOLD the button until it BEEPS.
The clock than will set itself automatically...just look at it. Et Voila...you're set to go.
IMPORTANT:
The car must be exposed to the sky for the process to work. Not in your garage or underground.
The command unit must catch a satellite signal for the clock to adjust automatically.
Cheers.

Thank you all. I had no idea that I had to hold the buttons down. Why didn't I try that? Duh....

I never did find any of that information in the owners manual. Maybe it's in there. But I couldn't find it.

I am having the exact same issue with a 2003 SL500. I see the solution is to hold down the buttons... but, when I click them they go to the next menu option... are we talking about the steering wheel buttons. I can't believe that in 2003 it was so difficult to change the time on a clock. And a Mercedes no less! Help, I'm ready to drive over a cliff. Thanks much!

Does the '03-04 Command have the time zone options to choose and the country setting to choose?
I just reset the time on my '05 which is a little different than the screen shown by tallguy above.
I had to choose 12hr or 24hr, country, time zone (eastern), daylight savings. It would not let me set the date because it said something in the manual about the little satellite icon on the screen means you can't set the date manually.
It was somewhat of a pain as you had to go back and forth to the "settings" button each time and at first it kept going back to "Germany" which then changed the hour.
