I have a 2003 E500 with 78,000 miles. I called 2 mb dealers in my area to see what service D would cost. I got $240 from one dealer and $460 from the other. Can anyone give me a definitive answer? Thanks!

Call them back and ask the SA to explain it in detail. They have to disclose to you what will be performed on your car. Then compare & contrast., and you'll realize one is likely double-charging you! After all, there's a reason on why they're called stealerships!

BTW, I think D is like an oil change and basic inspection (like the old A service). Alot of these things can be DIY and you'll save lots of $$.

i am taking my car in for D service this week

im taking it to a local shop specializing in mercedes/audi/bmw

all it is, oil change, fuel filter change, brake inspection, clean and lube sunroof, inspect car, replace air filter, replace combo filter, replace oil filter

i got quoted 350-375 for everything including parts and labor

if you are in the chicago area, call Hessen Auto of Des Plaines, best place to go for everything
