My 05 E320 CDI, 157000 miles, threw the serpentine yesterday. Belt didn't break, just jumped. Am planning on replacing the water pump and coolant hoses, along with belt and tensioner and any idler pulleys the car has, while I have the front off the car off. Didn't figure there was much point putting the old parts back on since I would already have them off or at least accessible.

I've searched the forum and found posts related to both water pump and tensioner/belt replacement. One author posted a PDF with the replacement procedures for both, which I've downloaded and greatly appreciate.

However, the low prices aren't any I can duplicate. The water pump alone, from Parts.com, is $245. I'm at $140 on autohausaz just for tensioner, belt and thermostat.

Anyone have other parts sources?

thanks.
