Can anyone describe to me what a tensioner pulley sounds like when it's on it's way out? I already ordered the serpentine belt and shortly after it got here I started hearing a sick train whistle noise from up front. Doesn't do it all the time, but if I'm on the road for any length of time it does get worse.
I've done some searching on here re: how to remove the tensioner pulley and the rounting of the belt. Mostly, I've found threads referring to a past thread that covers this. Haven't found it yet, but am still looking. There's an old post with http://www.benzworld.org/publications/pub.asp?id=253 as the location of the belt routing, but that looks like it's been punted from the site.
Do you all have a 'sticky' or 'faq' area here? It seems like there are a couple of dozen very common ailments for the 140, but I have yet to find these catalogued anywhere.
Going to give the rear spheres a go today. Wish me luck!
