Hi, bought a beautiful 1990 300 SL and had to have a new fuse put in as the drivers side window was not going up or down. Now the security system (noisy! goes off when you start the car, goes for a minute and a half, goes off for 30 seconds or so and then goes on again... YIKES... someone said could be a door switch. Help a cowgirl in distress! Thanks!

Which fuse did you replace ? #2 ?
#4 is also for power windows and #6 is for ATA (Anti-Theft-Alarm) System control unit .
If yous car has those Alum fuses, should just change them ALL to copper ones, and clean the fuse holder for corrosion.
