A few month ago a buddy mentioned his plan to adapt / install a W140 S500 coupe interior into a SEC.
The project turned out far better than I had anticipated.
The seats are more comfortable than what we W126 guys are used to.
My phone camera pics don't do the project justice.
Only he front door cards and front console are W126, the interior incl the W140 rear deck looks quite impressive.
I try to get better pics next time.
Cheers

I am pretty sure the donor car was a front end totaled white W140 S500 coupe at the Aadlen Sun Valley wrecking yard.
that means that C140 S500 coupe owner has swap his seats with C215 interior

the C140 interior should look like this

those are definitly C215 seat!
seems like those front seats has cool air function, which is never available on 140

Wow, what a project. And do the seat switches still move the seats correctly?
More pics would be great please Teutone.

I a not as familiar with later MB models as some of you apparently are.
It's possible the previous owner of the wrecked S500 W140 coupe swapped the interior earlier.
I can only say that it looks more luxurious, even perhaps like the interior the SEC should have had in the first place.
As dubious as I was when my buddy told me about the planned project, it turned out quite impressive.
Pretty close to looking at the interior of a Bentley Continental.
I try to get more, and better quality pictures, including of the rear deck.
These seats look a bit thicker / more substantial than the regular SEC seats, and I like the integration of the release lever.

The W140 (C140) seats look like a nice upgrade consideration as well.
I wonder if the rears would be a straight swap or would a fair bit of mucking around be required?

Interesting, but I'm going to be the contrarian here. It's not something that I would rush out to do. Seems out of place to me. Not to mention real tight in the rear in an already confined area, rendering the back seat useless to passengers. My wife felt claustrophobic in the standard SEC rear seats. I don't think she would dare sitting in the back with these. IMO, these seats appear too bulky for an SEC. Just my 2 cents.

My mistake. You guys were right, the interior is from a W215 CL.
Thread title corrected.
I talked to my buddy, and we are planning get together for more info and better pics.
