Frankly, doesn't sound all that much different than my blue gen2 coupe which has a stock US-spec engine, Tri-Ys and a similar muffler

Kind of makes sense since this 6.0 has the slightly more aggressive hydraulic cams with the Tri-Ys

This guy really made out , his first ever Widebody he paid just a few thousand for , because prices hadn’t run up yet - but when it caught on fire he had a $40k collector car insurance policy so he made a huge profit

Then he got this Widebody cheap and is selling for $155k. He’s making almost $200k from these cars

He is never going to get that for it. He can dream on with that price. It would needed to have been mint garage kept with low miles to hope to achieve that. People want originality at that price point.

Ok, being a smartass doesn't make you any more knowledgeable than I am, Just as only having 5 posts now does not mean that I know nothing about the subject. I was born long before AMG was merged with Mercedes for the record. I also did not specify a price I said based on what is already know about the car it has to be close to perfect to think about asking that for it. I know the interior was changed on that car, I know the engine is missing it's 4V heads. If it had left the factory with the SOHC heads that would be one thing, but it didn't according to the things we know about it. I know I have seen no pictures whatsoever of proof that AMG put that body kit on that car, so my point still stands. I don't understand this attitude on the internet where perfect strangers need to tear others down to make themselves feel better.

Not one of the widebody AMG SEC's that have sold at auction recently (Paris, London, Germany, Florida) have had any proof of their provenance (no AMG docs). Not one. Who is to say if any of them are original or clones or matching #'s? Yet, they all reached lofty auction results. At least Mark is stating the history of his car as best he knows and he has at least some level of provenance. For that honesty, his penance is a low price? Now, I ask you again, what is the value of his car?
