Today, i laid eyes on Penta widebody specific wheels carried in back of a certain Brit's car.
Its the second set i have seen after 48hp's.
Talk about rare...

How about the set that were on Kirk Salvatore's Widebody ? Reportedly they were included in Linda sextons sale of the car , though not mounted on the car while it was sitting after his death

Thanks Kim. The previous WB went to a good home on the East Coast. The buyer is not an active member of this forum, but he is an AMG enthusiast and has a gen1 AMG SEC and a gen2 AMG SEC WB. It's in the right hands.

As far as this one is concerned --

*1988 US-Spec 560SEC. Originally delivered in 040 Black, resprayed in correct 040 black
*Stock, late Gen2 Orion Gray interior which replaced at some point the original 271 Anthracite / Black early gen2 interior. It has been suggested by Bondavi that "the car does look like it has some of the same appointments that Aaron Ruskin did for his three 32V W124's, [including the grey interior], mats and grey coded dash gauges."

AMG Modifications include --

EXTERIOR
*Full AMG Widebody Kit (Frankly I'm not sure of the exact mix of parts... the car was tucked away pretty tightly. I do know that all the kit parts are authentic and stamped.. and the fenders are metal)
*16x9j / 16x10j AMG 5-spoke road wheels, centers painted 040 black
*Fully "dipped"-- 040 black paint / chrome delete

INTERIOR
*AMG 200MPH gray speedometer face and gray gauges with white needles
*AMG Floor Mats

PERFORMANCE
*M117 6.0L motor, which I believe -- based on firewall modifications -- was originally equipped with 4V heads (and AMG-spec headers). Now sporting Euro logs and 2V heads which according to the PO are "ported and polished with hotter than stock cams". PO claims the 4V heads gave up the ghost and were replaced "about 7 or 8 years ago." I am trying to track down both the Mercedes Indy that did this work and the original owner. I have both names...
*AMG / Sebring Exhaust / Muffler (with non-original tips... thankfully I have the correct ones in my stash)
*Rear Differential -- Unknown right now... not enough space to crawl under there
*Automatic Transmission. Unknown if it has AMG modded valvebody
*AMG springs / suspension
