1983 300 sd, running on bio diesel. the little plastic "joy sticks" in my seat controller are broken off. i took the switch apart, just to see what was inside. really clever switch. can anyone tell me where to get replacement parts for the internal workings of these switches? particularly the plastic pieces.

i believe the buttons can purchased at the dealership or online venders for cheap. the internals can't.. but you see them on ebay from time to time and they sell for like $20.

Yea, only the external bits are available.. The internals can't be sourced. I have some units that I have re-built if you are interested (take lots of half dead seat swtiches and make a few good ones!)

while u guys r on this, my p/s seat-adjusting gizmo works fine. not so with the driver's side. it works intermittently at best. sometimes with the door open, sometimes when i restart the car, sometimes it'll just work a few minutes later after it wouldn't and sometimes not at all. and sometimes it doesnt frustrate me, but that happens the least of all.
