I pulled out the driver seat on my 560sl and screwed up because I didn’t mark the connections for the seat/back heater and seat belt buzzer. All three on the seat are brown and blue wires. On the floorboard black/brownwhite stripe, black/ brown and black/black blue stripe. I’d assume the oddball blk/blk blue stripe would be the seatbelt buzzer. Help on the other two? Or am I wrong. No where near somewhere to really research. Thanks.

From the '86 ETM, a connector with a black lead and a brown/white lead is for the heater in your seat cushion. There appears to be two black leads on that connector, one of these runs to the connector for the heater in your seat back which has a single black and a single brown lead. This is on page 123 of the ETM attached

The ETM disagrees with your stated colors on the remaining connector for the driver seat belt buckle switch, exterior warning buzzer, depicting a black lead and a black/green lead. Since that is the only other connector, I think it is safe to plug into the remaining plug. This is on page 114 of the ETM attached.

Thanks Brad. I can’t seem to download the PDFs on my phone. I’ll try later. But the way I described it is what I’ve got. With further inspection I see the black/black blue stripe is a slightly thinner gauge so I’m good to go on that one. Don’t know why MB says it’s a green stripe cause it’s definitely not green. There is the two connectors left and I’m thinking it doesn’t matter which way they are connected because if I remember the switch only provides hot and hotter. Don’t think you can differentiate between seat or backrest like on newer vehicles Since there is only a brown for each ( ground) and a positive ( black or black/stripe) it shouldn’t matter which is which. I think. 50-50 getting it right.
