Hi All,

1995 SL600. My seat belt light comes on when I start the car and sounds a chime. The chime stops after a few seconds and the light stays on. I read some other posts and saw Bob Terry's suggestion on checking continuity across the 4 seat micro switches, it seems A2 on the passenger side isn't closing which, from Bob's schematic, serves switch S52/2. Where is this switch S 52/2 located? The passenger side latch switch opens/closes when I lift the latch so it's the other switch. I can't seem to find a reference showing what the second switch is for. Can I just jump the switch at A2 where it plugs into the safety module harness?

Thanks!

Regards,

JohnnyD

Try blowing out the seat buckles with an airline. Dirt falls down and its hard to get out. It may be blocking the switch. After that try a little WD 40. Its most likely a mechanical fault - as in the switch not moving as it should, rather than an electrical one.
