My friend has just purchased a 2007 C230 sport sedan. His car does not come with OEM projector Xenon headlight. He found an OEM set on ebay completed with OEM projector housing and all Xenon components.

May I know if the swap over will be a plug and play other than removal of the bumper? is the any work required on the wiring?

thanks guys!

Most of what you see on ebay is chinese made junk. Some people complained of the housing melting when they put HID lights in (they typically dont' come with a bulb or if they do, it's fake xenon, not HID). Look for genuine BiXenon lights, usually run about $1,000 - 1,500 for a legit set.

I like the stock set of headlight, looks fine. You can get pretty good HID kits for them for $100-200. I like mine, makes a big difference at night.

No, my friend is not planning to buy those ebay junks. He wants a set of real legit OEM set for $1600 bucks.

So the question is, how do I install them?

That's easy, remove the bumper cover and he'll see the bolts that hold the headlights in place, remove and replace. Then take it an MB dealer and have them set the ECU option of Xenon=Present and you he is set. Some dealers do it free, some charge, some won't do it at all.

If you he buys a legit set, make sure it wasn't imported from a country that has RHD cars like the UK as they are different.
