Have a 2001 CLK 320 cab.I have been hearing a 'scratching' noise coming form the region of the wood trim on the dash. It is getting louder daily and very annoying. Anyone have any experience with similar problems..any fix?
Thanks,
I have 99 CLK 320 cab, and I hear the rattling too. I took it in for repair and it ....

temporarily fixed the problem. However, its back now and I am sort of getting used to it (yikes). maybe I'll try some WD40 to fix the noise. I'll let you know what happens.

I would not use WD40. The solvent in it might disolve or gunk up somethings and make the problem worse. I think MB has a special lube oil for this purpose. See if the dealer will supply you with some.

Another sugestion is to try some dry lubricant (from just about any auto parts store).
