Scanner to reset DEF start count and purge DPF

We own a 2008 GL320 and 2013 S350, both diesel powered. Both have DPF. The S350 also has DEF.
Is there a scanner tool to reset DEF start count and force purge the DPF?

We do mostly short drives which isn't DPF friendly. I'd like to schedule the purge when I will be driving longer.

I've seen some scanners that say they can force the DPF purge. I'd like to also be able to reset the "starts left" count. I've had it fail to reset after topping off the DEF.

Thanks! :nerd

iCarsoft MBII has generic DPF regeneration, but annoying one as they want you to keep high rpm below 50 kph.
If you have left start count, than you need to fix the problem first. In my case I had bad Ox sensor, where new required SCN coding, so I had to take it to daler for coding and they reset the count in the process.
You can buy OBD reset module on ebay, but it is not cheap.

Hello,

I am a mercedes benz dealer tech
i also have a launch
the launch or any other aftermarket scanner that i have personally encountered will not help.
what happens when you have a fault within the dpf system is that a code gets logged and will NEVER reset unless a mercedes star diagnosis is used. when we hook up the star, we check the fault codes, when we get to the fault code we "process" the fault code, the star scanner will take us to a list of tests that needs to be performed and once all tests pass it will then allow the codes to reset but we also most of the time need to perform scn coding which is basically resetting the module to work again as designed.
my guess is this is all needed since the emissions regulations are so strict.
you can check out my video here on the star diag if you have one but you do need dealer level access and passwords to perorm the reset.
my launch and any other scanner does not have the ability to perform the processing of fault codes :(
not sure what scanner does,. hope this somewhat helps
