If you get a call offering to purchase your classic MERCEDES-BENZ at a ridiculously high price, be aware that this may well be a scam! Person or persons are getting phone numbers from the phone book, classified ads or service records and making these calls saying they represent authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer's used car manager. One name used is "Mr. Keating." Not sure but this sounds like the wire fraud scam we have seen before. Do not give out any information about your car, vin#, model or year! Ask to call back. In most cases the number they give is bogus. Dealers are NOT MAKING such calls! They may also ask for an e-mail address to send you their offer.
