Does anyone know how to tell if my 2007 ML63 (in Canada) is pre-wired for satellite radio? The system just says "No satellite radio" and all the buttons on the side, including the Service button, are greyed out and inaccessible. The only parts my dealer can find are for the entire receiver, antenna etc and state they are for a 2006 ML only.

Since your vehicle is already equipped with the SAT button, all you will need is the tuner and an antenna and a couple connection cables I believe. It will work on any ML 06+ as long as it has the SAT button on the Command unit.

Actually I'm now advised by MB's Canadian head office that the add on kit is only available for 2006 models and is not available for 2007 or newer models because of "wiring issues". Actually, a salesman told me that he thought there was a fire caused by the sat receiver in a 2008 ML so it may be a kit that was available originally but was withdrawn. In any event, I can't get it for mine, although I would not have paid nearly $2,000 for it anyway. I'll just stick to CD's I guess.

Very interesting, I know down here in the States there is no problems with adding Sirius to there vehicles. Also, search reputable stereo stores in the area. They can normally do something for you for a lot cheaper than the dealer. A buddy of mine got it added to his 06 and it utilities the SAT button on the command.

Check crutchfield to see what they have. Hope this helps
