I am looking at buying a used car for my wife. Currently own E350 Wagon.

I live in Northeast, with frequent wintry conditions. Can any/all of these cars be driven in the winter? Snow tires required? I am partial to MB but not at the detriment of safety.

I noted that BMW and MB with rear seat heat is not common. Is that a fact or just an impression?

If you decide on the W221 Benz then you will need the 4 matic version.

Ideally you want both AWD and snow tires. AWD helps you get moving in snow, but only good tires can help you stop and turn, which is more important for safety.

S550 4matics with snow tires or good 4 seasons tire will do fine.
