I recently been having a problem with my transmission, sometimes when i come to a stop the transmission does not down shift. The only way i can fix it when it happens is if i turn off the car and turn it back on. So i went to see the mechanic today and he told me that some componets ( Y3/8n4 and Y3/8n1 turbine speed seonsor) are defective. They said i had to replace the whole transmission inorder to fix the problem and it had to be by a mercades dealership which they estimated the cost to be around $7500. Are there any other options or am i screw??

When you get insane estimates like that, you need to get fourth and fifth opinions. They're screwing you big time. Find your local MBCA chapter and find a recommended shop
