Got 12 cans of fluid film and a nice wand that is barely bigger than the standard "straw" but it is 36 inches long and has a 360 spray pattern. I'm thinking of going in through the drain holes, and saving myself lots of time. I'm a little worried i could spray the backside of the speakers--is this a concern?
Also besides doors, inside of quarter panels, trunk and rear gate, and spring perches--where should i make sure to hit? Can i get into the rockers without drilling?
Thanks

There is no such thing as rust proofing. If you drive in salt, it will rust. You also run the risk of reducing the ability of moisture to escape its intended path, increasing the rusting process. That's why there are winter and summer cars up north.

Perhaps the term "rustproofing" is too strong. But i strongly believe one can make a car more resistant to rust. The stuff I'm using has been tested by municipalities and in marine applications, and helps a lot. it also never hardens so that it won't clog holes or crack. It has the consistency of motor oil but creeps and clings better, and is harmless to people and the environment. (Now i'm sounding like i sell the stuff, I know.)
I think to say that one should bother trying to do anything to prevent their car from rusting would be foolhardy. It would be like saying your engine at some point will die, so you should never bother changing the oil. At the very least, one should try to wash the salt off! In the winter, i spend as much time washing the underside of my cars as the top side. But this car is prone to rust--So i want to do everything that is reasonably possible to delay the corrosion.

Well, if you insist, then I would cover every nut and bolt, brake lines, fuel lines, engine bay front to rear. Just keep it off of the engine and exhaust. Maybe it'll make future repairs easier.

That stuff sounds close to the old used oil and sawdust trick. Basically, paint the car with it.

still don't know if i will hit the speaker--don't know if they are protected from spray from below.
Yeah--its not unlike oil, but it's lanolin, technically a wax. And you can get it on your hads, has no harmful fumes, etc. and creeps and holds better.

Dismantle the door insert and take the speaker off

The speakers should resonate and this stuff shall stop it from doing so
