Brake cleaner isn't a good thing - non-OE replacement lense pairs on eBay for like $140 if the polishiung kit doesn't work out. Oven cleaner is safe to remove the top cost, brake cleaner way too harsh.

Good luck !

I sprayed it twice and thought it was taking the grime off and it was eating away the plastic. I should have read the bottle before i sprayed it. I think I will have to sand it down and re polish like Kajtek1 said. This sucks. Also I took off the 20's and went back to stock AMG wheels, much better ride. I will post some pics once I give her a wash.

As always thanks for the input guys

mike, don't worry you didn't cause any damage. all you need to do is apply some polish like meguiar's "plastX" Meguiar's Direct PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish. you can buy at any autoparts store for around $5-7. apply generously to the lenses and rub for a few minutes using a lint-free towel. afterwards your lens will look better than before.
if it makes you feel better i use brake cleaner to clean my headlights with great results. i spray brake cleaner to the lens, rub with lint-free towel for a minute or so, then i apply meguair's plastX polisher for a few minutes and my headlights are as clear/shiny as they were from day one. i also apply some wax for more shine. i have been doing this twice a year for a while.

mike, all you need to apply is meguair's plastX. like i mentioned above i used brake cleaner for long time to clean my headlights, then follow up with meguair's plastX and they come out clear. you might want to spray a little bit of brake cleaner again and rub with a lint-free towel before applying the plastX. a few minutes of polishing with hand with plastX is enough.
