My new 11 C300s wipers were jumping a bit when on in light rain. I cleaned them with rubbing alcohol and they work smoothly now. Took off a lot of black residue. Brand new car and wipers were just used once. Just thought I should let others know.

Rain X for the windshield works good too; don't know what the main chemical is but it makes the water beed on glass making it easier for the wipers.

You shouldn't use rubbing alcohol on the wiper blades cause it'll eventually dry it out resulting in stiff, flaking, and cracking.
I have been using it for decades on every car I have owned and never had a problem. I replace the wipers every year before winter as a normal piece of my maintenance routine. I use Bo-Ami to clean the glass works fantastic.

if you replace wipers every year, then yeah, you won't have issues with alcohol on blades as you won't own the blades long enough for it to matter. I'm on my original blades for 3 years now and they still perform as well as they did brand new, but here in california, we don't get as much usage out of them as you guys on the upper east coast do, but if I was to use alcohol to clean them, no way they would have lasted me this long.
