Title says it all. The previous owner said it came loose and he had some rig using some metal wire holding it on to the bumper, but it was still hanging off. I pulled the whole thing off cuz it looked better with it off then hanging.

Anyone know how to reattach it??? I still have the "clamping rails" on the rubber, and it seems to be in good shape. I just cant figure out for the life of me how to reassemble it. Can anyone help???

Believe me I would have done that already if i thought it were possible. The clamping rail has hooks that it seems to slide and hook into the slots on the bumper. I just havent been able to figure it out...

ok sorry i misunderstood. seems the outside rubber is still attached to the plastic 'inner' strip which is sandwiched between the black rubber and the chrome bumper right?

in that case you have the same problem i had. it is not pretty but.. what i did was remove the plastic strip and then re-attach it to the chrome by mechanical means
ie a couple of bolts and nuts to hold it securely. then i pounded the black rubber strip back onto it.
you need to do this with the whole bumper assembly off the car. look for the bolts underneath that hold the bumper shocks. the bumper is quite easy to remove. it's the re-attaching of the plastic strip and rubber that is the b*ch.
