Dear MB friends,
The one piece that eluded me in my efforts to detail the dash on my '79 SLC is the cover plate for the rotary light switch and brake release knob. In the 107 manual, it would seem that the cover plate consists of two parts, one being the surround of the light switch with each symbol. In my car, this seems to be one oblong piece and I have to restrain myself prying out the part for fear of braking it.
I can take off the light switch knob (and the retainer nut) and the knob for the release cable but how does the plastic cover come off?
Advice on this is much appreciated.
