Hi fellas, been away for a long time! Put the hardtop on the Mistress this weekend, Disaster! The small lugs on the smaller lever have sheared off so can't release the safety catch without use of pliers (pita). Any one out there have a spare for sale? Regards Ray

I guess you are talking about the release handle that releases the top?

Saw them fairly cheap at Performance Products.

Pics would be helpful. I can't imagine enough torque to "shear" anything. Sounds like the caps have come off... the cap snaps onto the shaft and is what the wrench inserts into (only on the two behind the seats, of course). You can find pictures on this site with a search, of all the "parts", if needed.

I have done the same thing years ago. Filed the inside of the lever down to recreate the two lugs.
Part #107 758 04 88. $17.00 MSRP @ MB. Around $13.00 plus shipping from the online MB sites. Great Briton will be a little more expensive with VAT and such.
