Just did the valve cover gasket’s on my 1999 E55 AMG. The car has 215k miles on it and I was seeing how much side-side movement the rocker arms have and it seems like they actually have a little bit. Is this normal?

Goto your ===> user CP profile====> click on your icon (top right corner of the webpage) ----> then click on "Account Settings"----> goto Account Details----> add vehicle details---->
ADD your make model YEAR (i.e. 01 ml320) into your Profile ----> click save.

It's the cordial thing to do when you 1st register and signup on an automotive forum.

Any ticking or noise issues?
Could be very worn, or perhaps, not adequately/correctly tightened before?

No top end noises that I can hear, mostly wondering if this is normal. According to my google searches everyone said it’s normal but I couldn’t find anything directly related to the E55. Car runs fine

Then I wouldn't bother touching them. Keep them in you mobile calendar on an interval reminder to check them (mentally).
m113 is quite reliable - it's proven itself.
